Abed is a PhD student in Biostatistics and Health Informatics at King’s College London, working within the EPSRC Drive-Health Centre for Doctoral Training in Data-Driven Health. His academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Bristol, followed by an MSc in Genomic Medicine from the University of Oxford, where he developed a deep interest in computational biology and data analysis. Currently, Abed’s doctoral research focuses on using computational methods to study protein inclusions and aggregation in neurodegenerative diseases, specifically Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), with the aim of advancing understanding and therapeutic strategies.
