Agathe Zecevic is a PhD student in the Faculty of Life Sciences and the DRIVE-Health CDT for Data-Driven Health, supervised by Dr Sebastian Zeki and Professor Angus Roberts. She holds an MSc in Computing from Imperial College London, where she specialised in Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing and Mathematics for AI. Before starting her PhD, Agathe worked as a Data Scientist jointly within the Clinical Scientific Computing and Gastroenterology departments at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust (GSTT), developing AI-as-a-Medical-Device tools for gastroenterology workflows with a focus on unstructured electronic health records. Her PhD project, “A unified, deployable AI framework for surveillance decision support in gastrointestinal premalignant conditions” aims to develop and implement guideline-grounded system that predicts endoscopic surveillance intervals for premalignant gastrointestinal conditions such as Barrett’s Oesophagus, Gastric Atrophy and Colorectal Polyps.
