Biography

Anna is a PhD student in the Social, Genetic and Developmental Psychiatry Centre. Under the supervision of Professor Jonna Kuntsi and Dr Ewan Carr, she investigates the role of life transitions (such as medication initiation and reaching adulthood) on individuals with ADHD, using longitudinal data collected by remote monitoring technology.

Before starting her PhD, she worked as a research assistant on the ART-transition study, a research programme that uses remote monitoring technology (RMT) to characterise and improve understanding of the transition from adolescence to adulthood in young people with ADHD. Her belief in the importance of this research programme came from working with young people with special educational needs in a secondary school in East London. She will be using some of the ART-transition data in her doctoral research. Anna holds a BA in Neuroscience from the University of Oxford and an MSc in Comparative, Evolutionary and Developmental Psychology from the University of St Andrews, reflecting her longstanding academic interest in human psychology and cognition.
