Transforming Mental Health for older adults in Diverse Communities with the CARE App

Biography

Kamara is a PhD candidate focusing on the development and feasibility of a CARE App, aimed at improving dementia, research and service use awareness across ethnic communities and faith groups. She holds a Master of Science in Mental Health Studies and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology. With over eight years of experience in study management and coordination across both clinical and non-clinical trials, Kamara is passionate about improving the representation of diverse populations in research, ensuring that findings are relevant and beneficial for all communities. As a community group director and study coordinator she actively engages with local community groups and researchers, promoting inclusivity and equity in research initiatives. Kamara aspires to become a leader in the field, fostering accessibility and understanding in mental health and beyond.
